Obituary
William Rudolph Staben, Jr., age 80, of Kendallville, passed away at home June 13, 2023. Mr. Staben was born in Webster, Wisconsin on October 3, 1942 to the late William Rudolph Staben, Sr. and Agnes Marie (Klemann) Staben. He married Judith Ann Hanchek on February 23, 1963 in Waukegan, Illinois. Bill was a grocery store manager with A&P, Lakeside Foods and Treasure Island in the Lake Bluff, Illinois area. He was an avid worldwide big game hunter.
Survivors include:
Wife, Judy Staben of Kendallville.
Daughter, Suzanne Weber of Kendallville.
Daughter, Michale and Tommy Fisher of Kendallville.
Four grandchildren: Christopher Weber and his fiance, Tara Kabat both of Kendallville; Hunter Weber of Kendallville; Remy Fisher and her boyfriend Christian Fritz of Auburn; and Ronan Fisher of Kendallville. One great grandchild, Vienna Fisher.
Brother, Michael Staben of Waukegan, Illinois.
Sister, Fredricka and Edward Janiga of Traverse City, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Christopher Curtis Weber on November 20, 2022.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will also be held Thursday, June 15th at 12:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
