William Randoph Stapper, 85 years young, was born and reared in San Antonio, Texas. He was valedictorian of his high school graduating class and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas with a degree in aerospace engineering. He was employed as a design engineer at Bell Helicopter for 35 years. He had many interests throughout his life. He liked automobiles and restoring them, was an avid reader of almost anything. He enjoyed learning and using his considerable skills for his family and friends. He will be remembered as a kind, generous, loyal person and a wonderful listener. He was known to sell a car with just a handshake. He was very funny - known for his "one liners"; and he loved animals.
Survivors include: Wife, Sharon Stapper, Arlington; and sister, Dorothy Wallkingford, San Antonio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Stapper.
