William "Billie" Lee Staten, 85, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on November 9, 2023 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on September 14, 1938 in New Castle, Kentucky, son of the late Chester and Bessie Staten. William was a United States Marine Core Veteran and was a former employee of the old Jeff Boat. He was a body builder and at one time a massage therapist. William lived a colorful and diverse life, but he identified most strongly, and was most proud of, being a United States Marine. Oorah
William had a loving community of friends, neighbors and veterans that did much to make his life rich.
He is survived by a dear friend and neighbor, Jennie McGee.
Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
