William Allen Stone Jr.
August 6, 1949 – January 24, 2024
William Allen Stone Jr., age 74, of Cumming passed away on January 24th, 2024. He was a loving father, grandfather, and son, who enjoyed life to its fullest. Allen grew up attending the First Baptist Church, which is now Cumming Baptist, where he had perfect attendance for Sunday School for over 16 years. Later in life, he attended New Harmony Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized and married the mother of his children, Linda Kay Ledbetter.  His family owned and operated Stone Furniture Company on the square in Cumming where he worked as a salesman.  Allen was fun loving.  He enjoyed a variety of different things.  He loved NASCAR, Daytona Beach, and fine dining, also the Varsity. Allen loved card games, his fat boy, boating at Lake Lanier, and Panama City Beach, and just having a good time.  He is preceded in death by his father, William "Billy" Allen Stone Sr. and brother, Willard Avery Stone.
He is survived by his mother Mattie Ruth Stone; children, Alisa Lynn Stone (Don) Dennis, William Allen Stone (Erin Collins) III; grandchildren, Darstone Allen Dennis, Durham Arland Dennis, Dean Aldon Dennis, Mattie Magnolia Linda Dennis; girlfriend, Melissa Foxworthy; aunt, Louise Stone Martin; many cousins, and other loving family.
A funeral services were held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM, at Cumming Baptist Church in the Old White Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Orr and Rev. Pete Martin officiating.  The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.  The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 27, 2024, from the hours of 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Sunday, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
