William Joseph Suiter

William "Joe" Joseph Suiter, Jr., age 63, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 22, 2025 at his home. He was born in Highland County on December 4, 1962 to the late William Suiter Sr. and Betty Louise (Crabtree) Suiter. Joe will be remembered for his love of fishing and the joy it brought him. He was always ready to go fishing anywhere he could, but the pay lake held a special place in his heart. Whether relaxing by the water or competing, fishing was where Joe felt most at home. Joe was a dedicated derby fan and competitor who truly enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie of derby events. He took pride in participating and was known for his enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Outside of fishing, Joe enjoyed RC cars and built an impressive collection over the years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Joe is survived by his children, Shannon (Jonathan Stephenson) Suiter of Hillsboro, William (Ashley Holt) Suiter III of Peebles, and Jeremiah Walker; grandchildren, Lahree Thompson, William Thompson, Alexis Suiter, Christopher Cook, Nattallie Walker, and JJ Walker; siblings, Dan Music, Diana McQuitty, Ricky Crabtree, Shirley Truman, and Rodney Suiter; and many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Cathy Music and Robby Price. Joe will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
