Tatman, William (Bill) Starnes 93, husband of the late Frances Tatman, went to see Jesus Friday July 18, 2025, at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY. He was born in Lexington, KY on April 15, 1932, to the late Deward and Clara Bell Tatman. He is survived by two sisters Elsaleen Revel and Elaine Jordan; four children Ted (Darlene) Tatman, Mike (Eileen) Tatman, Amy (David) Shannon and Laura (Scott) Ellis; grandchildren Kristal Shannon, Jeremy (Jenni) Shannon, Shelby (Jackie) McCuddy, Travis (CJ Wakefield) McCuddy, Corban (Sarah Smith) Ellis, Lydia (Alex) Akin and Hannah Tatman; and eight great grandchildren.
Bill was a member of First Wesleyan church and served the Lord faithfully for many years. He was a proud Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill was a faithful husband and beloved father and grandfather/great-grandfather. He volunteered at Best Friends Adult Day Center for many years. Bill remembered every joke he ever heard and brought smiles to everyone that he encountered by telling them a joke.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23 from 10:30-12:30 with a service at 12:30 at Kerr Brothers on Harrodsburg Road. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Best Friends Adult Day Center or Honor Flight.
