William "Bill" Thal Jr

William Edward Thal Jr., known affectionately as Bill to his Family and Friends, passed away on June 7, 2025 in Queenstown, Maryland at the age of 75. He was born on June 3, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Bill's life was a testament of the power of love, as he shared an unwavering bond with his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Lynn Thal (Sickle). He was a proud father to William Edward Thal III and his wife Melissa, and Jaimi Elizabeth Conley (Thal) married to Dr. Richard Conley. His grandchildren Ricky (15), Albert (13) and Princess Zoenna (12) were his pride and joy. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Thal, his mother, Phyllis Lucille Thal (Curtis), and his sister, Karen Jean Thal.
Bill was a man of many interests. From martial arts to scuba diving Bill was always up for adventure. More recently he began target clay shooting with his son as a private coach. In his spare time, he enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. He completed his most recent puzzle the morning of his passing. Leaving it as complete as his life.
Bill's professional life was marked by dedication and a strong worth ethic. His career in banking and finance spanned over 40 years. After leaving banking Bill went on to work at Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services for the past 10 years as a Funeral Assistant.
Those who knew Bill would remember him as a man with an immaculately clean car always with a full tank of gas. A man who was always willing to stop everything to chauffer his grandkids. Bill enjoyed being at the beach, but not the salt water on his car. He will be missed deeply but the memories he created will be treasured forever.
