William H. Theune, 83, of Scranton died Tuesday at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton following an illness. His wife is the former Jacqueline Brembt.
Born January 15, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late William K. and Henrietta (Schafer) Theune. William was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, and prior to his retirement was employed by Greif, Inc. in sales of Industrial Packaging Products.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Scranton.
As a youth, William was a member of the Trinity Boys Choir in New York City. His kindness, personality and jokes will be missed by his loving cousins and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Kimberly M. Elburn of Laurel, MD; (3) grandchildren: William C. Theune of Lafayette, NJ, Sophia Valentino, and J. P. Valentino.
He was preceded in death by his son Christopher C. Theune in 2021.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday October 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese Street Scranton, PA with Rev. John Zimmerman, pastor as officiating clergy.
Interment and committal will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made Immanuel Lutheran Church.
