William "Bill" M. Toomey, age 56, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025. Born on October 3, 1968, to Francis "Bill" William Toomey and Barbara Jean (nee: Curley) Toomey in Parma, Ohio. He was raised in Newbury and graduated from Newbury High School.

Bill found his true calling as a chef. Whether cooking professionally or at home, he poured his heart into every dish and loved seeing people gathered around the table enjoying his food. He was just as passionate about life outside the kitchen-spending time hunting, fishing, trying his luck at gambling, or heading to a concert to enjoy some good rock and roll. Bill had a way of making people feel welcome, whether through a shared meal, a good laugh, or simply his easygoing company.

Bill was a loving father and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Jordan DeyErmand (nee: Toomey), and his beloved grandchildren, Autumn and Myles DeyErmand. He will also be deeply missed by his sister, Sharon (Erik Gaizutis) Toomey; niece Jillian Toomey, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Francis Toomey.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Munn Cemetery in Newbury, Ohio.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio, 44024. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
