William G. Trombley

Madrid: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Glenn Trombley, in Snowmass Village, CO, lovingly known by family and friends as "Billy Glenn", who passed away on Wednesdays, April 9, 2025, at the age of 47.
Born on February 5, 1978, Billy was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose adventurous spirit, generous heart, and warm smile left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Billy grew up in Madrid, New York, where he built deep roots and lifelong friendships. Later in life, he found a home in Carbondale, Colorado, drawn to the beauty of the mountains and the freedom of the open road. He had a passion for travel and adventure, always seeking new experiences and places to explore.
A gifted cook, Billy found joy in creating and sharing meals, often bringing people together around the table with his talent and warmth. He was also a proud business owner, having successfully operated his own company, a reflection of his drive, independence, and dedication.
He is survived by his father, William and wife Susan Trombley of Madrid, NY, his mother, Candy Trombley and her partner Ken Sampson of Ogdensburg, NY, his brother, John Trombley of Massena, NY, and his sisters, Janelle MaryEllen Trombley of Tupper Lake, NY and Jazmine and husband Jacob Pellerin Rouses Point, NY. Billy was deeply loved by many cousins, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Billy shared a rare and unbreakable bond with his lifelong best friend, Josh Taillon, who was more like brother than friend. Their connection was built on decades of loyalty, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Florence and Glenn Conger, MaryEllen and Cornelius Trombley who held a special place in his heart and helped shape the man he became.
Billy's life was marked by love, passion, and a free spirit that touched countless lives. He will be remembered for the way he lived with heart, courage, and a sense of adventure that never faded.
Calling hours for Billy will be held on Saturday April 26, 2025, from 11:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Phillips Memorial Home at 2:00pm in Madrid, NY on Sunday, April 27, 2025, with Rev. Garry Giroux officiating. Burial to be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Canton, NY at the convenience of the family.
