William David Langley Turner

William David Langley Turner was born June 30, 1953, to William Frank Langley and Doris Jean Farris Langley in Huntsville, TX. After her first husband's death, Dori later married Robert Hugh Turner, who adopted David and Donna. He attended schools in Huntsville and Aldine I.S.D. After a few semesters at University of Houston, he studied to become an electrician and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. A talented musician, he became an accomplished, self-taught guitarist, even writing and singing his own music.

He met and married the love of his life, Jodia Sue Murphy, and the couple moved to Georgia, where David continued his work as an electrician. He still loved to play his guitar for entertainment purposes. Upon Jodi's death, David moved back to Huntsville, TX, where he passed away at his sister's home.

His is survived by his brother Emmett Otis Turner and wife Christi; sister Donna Jean Langley Turner Barron and husband Earnest; stepdaughter Rusti Hendrix; two nieces, Rebecca Barron Waltz and Heather Barron Robinett; nephew B.J. Bodin and great nephew Ethan Michael Waltz.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will follow at Farris Cemetery. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
