William Dolan Underwood

William Dolan “Bill” Underwood of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on September 29, 2025, at 66 years of age. He was born September 15, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Roy Dolan and Wilma Jean (Carr) Underwood. Bill was a Custodian for the MSD Wayne Township at Rhodes Elementary School for 20 years retiring in 2020. At an early age Bill endured an extreme hardship with the loss of his father tragically and his “Granny”, Marie Underwood, stepped in to raise him and had a tremendous influence on his life. He enjoyed drag racing, camping, fishing, and spending time with his loving family. Bill is survived by his wife, Marie L. (Biggs) Underwood, his children, Regina (Daniel) Lawson, Jessica (Jimmy, Jr.) Spears, William II Underwood, his grandchildren, Kirsten, Blayton, Jimmy III, Alyssa, and his sisters, Dorene (Steve) Gore, Missy (Lynn) Morgan, Lisa Marie Becker, Amy White.

Visitation for Bill will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the Funeral Service there at 1:00pm.
