AMSTERDAM – William P. Van Patten, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
He was born at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady on May 8, 1970 to Kristine Ruth Barbuti. Bill graduated from Linton High School and Schenectady Community College.
He was in the food service industry from age 16 to the present. He worked at Glens Falls Hospital and presently at Saratoga Hospital.
Bill is survived by his mother Kristine Barbuti and his girlfriend Corinne Ferrarin. He also has three stepsisters and one stepbrother. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Bill was a board gamer, Geocaching and a steampunker. He was also a huge Star Wars fan.
On Saturday August 2nd there will be a visitation at Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie from 2 pm to 6 pm for family and friends. A short service will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
