William J. Van Sickle, known to many as Van died on October 14, 2025 at the age of 92 at his home in Brentwood, New York. He was born on February 21, 1933 to Alice and Walter Van Sickle in Newark, New Jersey.
He graduated from Irvington high school in 1951. In January 1952, he joined the US Navy, where he honorably served for 25 years.
In 1974, he met his wife Rebecca. The two wed that same year and moved to Brentwood in 1975.
William’s legacy is carried on by his wife Rebecca, sons Christopher (Jasmine) and Ronald, daughter Diane, and his grandchildren Darryl, Samantha, Jaden, Derek and Mila. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Alice, son James and daughter Lisa.
A memorial service will be held on October 19th from 2-6 PM at Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home
Military Honors will be conducted by the Navy Sunday 5:00 PM at Moloney's Hauppauge Funeral Home.
