Mary Bernice Van Sickle
July 31, 1944 - November 25, 2025
Mary was the youngest of six children, born to Phil and Edna Uber of Grove City, Pennsylvania. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, PA, Class of 1962, and from Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Butler, PA, Class of 1966. She later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1989, and a graduate degree from the University of Rio Grande, Class of 2000.
Mary was a nurse for many years in various roles. She most recently retired in January 2025 from Ohio Health Hospice after over 19 years of service.
She passed away peacefully at her home with her son, John Martin.
There will be no service or visitation.
To honor Mary, enjoy a mimosa with friends, go to a Broadway show, enjoy dim sum, plan a trip to the zoo, or watch a football game.
If you deem necessary, memorial contributions may be sent to Fair Hope Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.
