William A. Verven, better known to his family and friends as Bill, passed away on February 18, 2026. He was born on March 29, 1957 and lived a full life dedicated to his family. He shared 40 years of marriage with his loving wife, Kimberly, and together they raised three children in Bloomingdale: Alexandra (Anthony) Morelli; Alec Verven; and Edmund Verven. His best memories were coaching his children, driving his muscle cars, cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and doing his part to brighten his neighborhood.
Bill graduated from Steinmetz High School and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to earn his MBA from Northern Illinois University and worked in the finance industry as a loan officer for over 40 years at various banks in the Chicagoland area. Although he excelled at school and work, he gained the most fulfillment by keeping in contact with his classmates and building relationships with his colleagues. Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a friend to all. His memory will live on through his growing family.
Bill was preceded by his parents, Alex & Joanna Verven.
