William "Bud" Wagner, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1944, in Albany, Louisiana
Bud worked for many years at Wagner's Meat Market. He retired from the Livingston Parish Council after working as a heavy equipment operator and was known by many as the "man with the cowboy hat."
In his free time, Bud enjoyed fishing with his son and sitting on the porch talking with friends who stopped by to visit. Bud's kids and grandkids meant the world to him, and he liked to do anything that involved spending time with them. Throughout his life, Bud had a love for horses and in his younger years, enjoyed participating in horse shows and trail rides. Bud was a kind and caring man who was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Bud is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Holmes Wagner; son, Brandon (Hope); daughters, Shannon (David), Stacey and Jacquelyn; granddaughters, Kristen (Joe), and Lauren (Kaleb); grandson, Noah David, arriving June 2025; great-grandchildren, Ella, Kullen and Caroline; sisters, Charlotte, Joan and Phyllis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
