Rosetta Mae Connell

Rosetta Mae Connell passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 85. She was born on Tuesday, February 11, 1941 in Sacramento, California to the late Florence Ethel Cooley Kidwell and the late Roland Kidwell. She was a resident of Springfield, Louisiana.

Rosetta is survived by her children, Debra May(David), Lynn Case(Leon), and Rowdy Gehegan(Janice); grandchildren, David Ray Gehegan, Rhonda Jenkins(Ottis), David Bryan May(Cookie), Matthew R. Gehegan, Paige Michelle Gehegan, and Kristen Case; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Bryce, Gavin, Landon, Cameron, Jake, Kai, M.J., Raylynn, Bella, Xavier, Jaycie, Serenity, and Chelsi; brothers, Burton Wright and Bobby Spence(Laura); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rosetta was also preceded in death by her husband, David H. Connell; grandsons, Kristopher Leon and Lonnie Ray; brothers, Robert Kidwell and Kenneth Spence; and sisters, Anna Allen and Claudia Kliebert.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, February 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana.
