William Watkins Obituary
February 10, 1954 – December 8, 2025
William Watkins Jr, 71, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, following a courageous three-year battle with lung cancer.
A Philadelphia native, William attended Livingston College and proudly served in the U.S. Navy, from which he was honorably discharged in 1979. He built a long career, including many years at the Sands Casino, and was deeply devoted to his family. A dedicated father and coach with the Mays Landing Athletic Association, he was also a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan who instilled values of perseverance, strength, and teamwork in his children and grandchildren.
William is survived by his children, William Watkins III (Rebecca) and Lyndsey Walker (Dakota); his granddaughters, Lana and Lacey Watkins; his sister, Terry Dorrall; his nieces, Lynn Dorrall, Donna Dorrall, Allison Harris, and Kimberly Garrett; and his nephews, Brian Dorall and David Dorrall, along with extended family and friends.
Services will be private. Memories and condolences may be shared @ancscremation.com
