William Weck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alabama Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers - Opelika on Dec. 31, 2025.
William Benjamin Weck, age 21, of Northport, Alabama, passed from this life on December 2, 2025. He was born on May 14, 2004 to Tom and Amy (nee Lebert) of Millstadt, Illinois.

Will had a great mind which he used at Millstadt Consolidated School and Belleville West High School with his involvement in Science Olympiad, Chess Team, Math Team, Scholar Bowl, Plays, Bands, Tennis Team and writing for the school newspaper. Outside of school he was active in several Millstadt organizations including their Police Academy, Sister Cities, and Swim Team which led to his first job at the Millstadt Pool in the Snack Shack and as a lifeguard.

Following high school he attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa studying Marketing. WIll had an entrepreneurial spirit and then decided to pursue other jobs, hoping to own his own business someday.

Will had many interests and enjoyed them to the fullest. He loved cars from a young age and enjoyed driving through new states on his many trips with family to hike the National Parks. This love of driving led to several jobs with food delivery and most recently Uber driving, enjoying meeting new people and the conversations he had. He loved homes and watching the housing market for new homes for sale. When he moved out on his own, he took great pride in his apartments in Edwardsville, Illinois and in Alabama, making them homey. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Will is survived by his parents, Amy and Tom Weck, brothers Hank (Kallie), RJ, and Pete Weck, his grandparents Tom and Jean Lebert, and Sandy Weck, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Jack Weck. Will had an independent spirit, strong work ethic, but mostly a kind heart and was always helping others. Will was loved by so many people and will be deeply missed. The family is planning a private family service.
