William Welchlen Obituary
William E. Welchlen, 71, of Pocahontas, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
He was born on January 10, 1954, in Highland, IL, to Earl and June (nee Kantner) Welchlen. On March 24, 1979, William married Connie Hoyt at the First Congregational Church in Highland, IL.
William liked antique cars, going to car shows, and doing maintenance/repairs on his own vehicles. He loved his fur baby, Mocha, and spending time with his wife, Connie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and June Welchlen, and brother, Joseph Welchlen.
William is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie Welchlen, Pocahontas, IL, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
Private services are being held.
