Our beautiful son, William Wade White, age 2, passed away in his dad’s arms, on May 20, 2023. William was born on August 27, 2020 in St. George, Utah, to Lorna Jean Anderson White and Benjamin Cole White.
William was an easy baby, full of love and life. He crawled at five months, walked at ten months, and potty trained himself before two. Instead of “I” and “Me”, William referred to himself as “Yum”. Yum had to put on his own socks, buckle himself in his car seat, pick up his own toys and help his mom do chores.
William was a daddy’s boy. Anything Cole did, William wanted to follow. If dad got home from work, and mom didn’t notice immediately, William would yell, “Mom! Dad’s home!” William was passionate about everything. Even the universe held his fascination, noticing the sun, moon and stars. In the evening he’d ask, “What happened to the sun?” and in the morning, “Hey mom! The sun’s awake!”
If there’s one word that describes William, it’s ‘Love’. He loved his family and everyone he met. He was the first one to greet you and the last one to let go of a hug. He also loved animals, all things outdoors, monster trucks, and books. As long as his dad would read, William would listen.
William was observant, and remembered the little details of his new friends, the places his family traveled, the directions to every ball field, his dad’s job sites, and which monster truck was missing.
William never had a jealous moment when his little brother Dylan came along. He watched out for his new friend and shared his toys and excitement for life. It’s comforting to know that William will be a guardian angel for Dylan and his little sister, who will be coming our way soon.
We know William was loved, and we feel the love and support of our family and friends. William is survived by his parents, Lorna and Cole White, his little brother, Dylan Curt White, and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at 1:00 p.m. at El Capitan High School (255 N. Cottonwood St, Colorado City, Arizona). There will be a viewing at El Capitan High School before the funeral, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Interment will be in the Isaac Carling Cemetery.
