William "Willie" Wilkins passed away on June 22, 2025, in Bastrop, Texas, at the age of 67.
Born on November 22, 1957, Willie was a beloved presence in the lives of many. He was preceded in death by Sandy Wilkins; his parents, Cubert and Geraldine Wilkins; his brother, John Henry Wilkins; and his sisters, Jeannine Barnes, Vickie Dorsey, Willa Dean Williams, Marilyn Moore, and Darlene Hill.
Willie is survived by his children: son Tim Smith of Bastrop; daughter Tanya Molina and her husband Delfino of Rockport; and son Stephen Brown and his wife Lisa of Deville. He is also survived by his sister Gwen Myers and her husband John of Kerrville. His legacy continues through his grandchildren—Jacob Erwin, Gavin Erwin, and Hannah Erwin—and great-grandchildren Kristopher Smith, Emily Erwin, and Serenity Jackson. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held him dear.
Willie cherished time spent with family and friends. Whether out on the lake in his boat, attending family reunions, cheering at dirt track races, or enjoying coffee and conversation at the Texas Grill, he found joy in connection and community.
Known for his unique spirit and warm presence, Willie was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He will be forever in our hearts. A Funeral will be held on June 27, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM that morning.
