William Willis Obituary
Mr. Willis, the son of the Edgar and Mary Pearson Willis, was born in Estill County on November 21, 1939. He was a farmer and preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ who ministered in many different churches. He enjoyed gardening and dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
William united in marriage to Helen Gray Willis who preceded him in death on September 25, 2010.
Survivors include his daughter: Peggy Willis (& Cathy Maney) of Campton, one son: William E. (& Jessica) Willis of Mt. Vernon, three brothers: Charles Willis, Ralph Willis and Thomas Willis, three sisters: Devada Reynolds, Nina Chasteen, Mary (& David) Hendrickson, five grandchildren: William Michael Willis, Joshua Jackson Brewer, Hannah Nicole Willis, Haley Brooke Willis, Christian Edward Willis and one "on the way," Waylon Robert Willis, his sister-in-law: Kathy Willis and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Willis was preceded in death by two brothers: Luther Willis and Ronald Willis and one sister: Ina Isaacs.
A time of visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the funeral home with Bro. Dwight Northern and Bro. Johnny Isaacs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Willis, Michael Willis, Travis Willis, Kyle Willis and Edgar Lee Willis.
