Bill passed peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 93, of Haddon Township.
Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Elizabeth “Bette” (nee Sheets). Loving father of William J. Wolf, Jr. (Jo-Ann) of Falling Waters, WV and Barbara J. Boettcher (Robert) of Haddon Township, NJ. Proud grandfather of Erich Boettcher (Cindy), Christopher Wolf (Christina), Peter Longo (Erica), Matthew Wolf (Ashleigh) and Lauren Smith (Jack). Great-grandfather of Riley, Adam and Jameson Wolf, and Jason and Shawn Smith. Also survived by two nieces & one nephew and many loved ones.
Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Runnemede, NJ. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1949. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He received his BS from Drexel University and MS from Temple University in Business Education. Bill started at Haddon Township High School in 1964 as a Business Education teacher. He became Assistant Principal at HTHS in 1970 for 17 years and went back to teaching at HTHS his last four years before retiring. He was also the Director of the HTHS Adult School for 25 years, Summer School Principal for 10 years and an Adjunct Professor at Camden County College for 25 years. Bill was a member of the former Grace Baptist Church of Westmont for over 50 years serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and head chef for all church dinners. Bill, Bette and their children traveled with their camper every summer to places up and down the East Coast and Bill and Bette in their retirement, traveled to mostly every state. Family and his faith in our Lord were everything to Bill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing, Tuesday, Nov. 18th from 9:30 – 11 AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM.
Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
