William James Woods, 82 of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on October 04, 1943, a son of the late William and Mabel Stoudt Woods.

William proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an animal lover and enjoyed the time spent with his dogs. He most loved the time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Susan Parr Woods; children Kyle Woods, Trinity Stoudt, Tara Woods and Michele Maurer; grandchildren Tyler, Jared, Bethany, Andrew, Noah, Olivia, Liam, and Crystal; great grandchildren Serenity and Murphy and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.

In keeping with his wishes William will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time. Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home in honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
