William Lee Wright, 87, of Anderson, passed away on September 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 28, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana, to his parents, Walter Lee and Vivian Faye Wright. William graduated in 1957 from Anderson High School. After graduating, he started his apprenticeship for General motors, and joined the United States Army in 1961. After serving our country, he returned to work for General Motors as a Tool Maker / Machine Repairman until his retirement, after over 30 years of service. He loved playing cards with friends and family, filling in for the lady's card club after his wife passed. He also enjoyed playing guitar with friends, woodworking and working outdoors. If anyone needed something fixed or needed help, they would call Bill. William is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Vincent) Nyboer; granchildren, Zachary (Stephanie) Nyboer, Derek Wright, Seth Nyboer, Danielle (Will) Clinkscales and Delilah (Brian) Wolverton; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Turner; brother-in-law, Rex (Marcia) Ohler and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Jean Wright and son, David L. Wright. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana. Services will follow visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association. www.LooseCares.com.
