With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we celebrate the life of Willie Mae Baker, a cherished mother, devoted homemaker, and beloved member of the Detroit community. Born on April 25, 1941, in Wetumpka, Alabama, Willie Mae's journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family and an infectious spirit that brightened the lives of everyone around her.

Willie Mae provided a home of warmth, laughter, and countless cherished moments for her family. She was a remarkable homemaker, known for her nurturing nature and the heartwarming meals she prepared for her family.

Willie Mae's heart touched many beyond her immediate family, as she cultivated friendships and built community ties that lasted over the years. As we remember her, we find comfort in the lives she influenced with her strength and compassion.

The Public Viewing will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Blvd. Chapel. A Family Hour will be held on Friday, December 5th, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, and the Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM, where we will honor and celebrate her extraordinary life. Willie Mae will then be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery with her husband.
