Willie E. Busby, age 76, and a resident of Morton died Saturday, June 21, 2025, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Morton with Bro. David Bryant officiating under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Morton. Visitation will be held from 11am till the service time at the church. Graveside services will not be held as the family will remain to visit with friends. He will be laid to rest at Morton Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Souwilpa. AL on August 21, 1948. He became a very talented welder working for Steel Services. Mr. Busby was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God. He loved visiting with family and friends. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Busby was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Lee Busby and Virgie Dikes Busby, his wife Judy Parkman Busby, and brother Elmer Lee Busby.
Survivors include his 2 children, Regina Busby (Michael Holmes) of Lena, and Judy Renee Busby of Morton. Other survivors are Charles K. Busby (Patsy), and Allen Busby (Diann) all of Morton. He also leaves behind a legacy of five grandchildren: nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers are Christopher Wallace, Rickey Creel, David Busby, John Guy, Dusty Perry, and Dalton Busby. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Guy and H.C. Phillipson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Calvary Assembly of God.
