Mrs. Willie Ruth Duffy was born on October 21, 1945, to the late Amos and Odessa Powell in McDonough, Georgia. "Lady" as she was called by her family and friends received her formal education in the Henry County School System in McDonough, Georgia.

Mrs. Willie Ruth Duffy accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in her teenage years, and joined her husband church, Antioch Baptist Church, where she was an active member for many years.

Ms. Willie Ruth Powell was joined in holy matrimony with Mr. Albert Billy "AR" Duffy on June 12, 1964, in McDonough, Georgia. Their union was blessed with one child.

Mrs. Willie Ruth Duffy worked in the Daycare field for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, sitting on her front porch, listening to music, laughing and talking with her family and friends.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Mrs. Willie Ruth Duffy's name was called, and she answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Billy "AR" Duffy, her parents, Amos Powell and Odessa Powell, twin sisters, Mary Elizabeth Powell and Mary Ann Powell, Irene Baker, her brothers, Willie James Powell, Arthur Lee Powell, Edward "Jack" Powell, Genus (Bennie Mae) Powell, and Robert Powell.

Mrs. Willie Ruth Duffy leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter, Margaret Duffey, bonus daughter, Diane Barber, granddaughter, Shewanda Duffey, grandsons, Michael (Latonya) Duffey, and Eldridge Watson, bonus grandson, Damion Bymes; great grandchildren, Ziquez Hosley, Kemoriae Duffey, Mekhi Duffey, Rasheed Collins, Shariq Lawrence, and Tania Lawrence, bonus grandchildren, Belinda Brittian, Shirley Ann Souder, and Richard Jr. Souder. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.

A love note from your sister-in-law, Sarah Powell, Lady I'm going to miss you, but you're are in a better place. Our great memories will live on in me. I will cherish them, I'll never forget you. R.I.P.
