Willie Jr. was born on May 12, 1962, in San Antonio, TX. He was raised in Dayton, Tx with his family and attended Dayton, ISD. He was A loving father, brother, grandfather, nephew, cousin, uncle, and devoted friend.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Willie served honorably as a Chemical Operations Specialist and NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) Specialist. His dedication earned him numerous commendations, including an Expert Badge, Sharpshooter qualification, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Army Service Ribbon. His military service was a testament to his discipline, courage, and dedication. He was a jokester at heart, with sharp wit and a love for laughter. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, and he cherished time spent with family and friends. Whether sharing a joke or simply sitting in good company, Willie found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Willie is survived by his children (Likita Gallow, Jona Sonnier, and Cory Gallow), grandchildren (Serenity, Jayde, Jordan, Jazmyne, and Kayla) siblings: Valorie Edwards, Paulette Morris (Cal), Kavin Edwards, Sr. (Angela), Alvan Edwards (Brandi).
