Willie Hughes

Willie Hughes, a cherished soul who left a profound mark on everyone who knew him, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 3, 1939, Willie was a beacon of joy whose life was full of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the pleasures that life has to offer.

A devoted enthusiast of bluegrass music, Willie spent countless hours immersed in those sweet sounds, drawing inspiration from the melodies that spoke to his heart. He found immense joy in attending bluegrass festivals, where he would be found tapping his feet and sharing smiles with the fellow music lovers. His passion for traveling opened doors to new adventures, allowing him to explore the world and all it has to offer.

Willie had a remarkable talent for tinkering on projects outside, mostly improving his equipment by working on lawn mowers and other tools. In these endeavors, he found fulfillment. Yet, the true highlights of Willie's life were not measured in activities, but rather in the moments he spent with his loved ones. He cherished every gathering, every shared meal, and every laugh that will be forever cherished by those he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Willie’s life at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden, Funeral Home, & Cremation Center in Nashville, Tennessee. A visitation will take place on November 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on November 29 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on November 29, beginning at 1:30 PM, immediately followed by an interment.

As we reflect on the life of Willie, we remember a gentleman who filled his life with music, laughter, and family. His spirit will echo in the hearts of his loved ones and he will be deeply missed.
