Willie Humphrey, Jr. Obituary
Willie was born April 18, 1954 to the parentage of Oleta Louise Thomas and Willie Humphrey Sr. Willie attended public school in Lubbock and New Deal ISD. He indulged in his passion for cars. His love for car mechanics allowed him to provide for the needs of his family.
Willie's life was marked by significant losses, as he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Boyd Humphrey, as well as his mother Oleta Louise Thomas, stepfather Billie Thomas, father Willie James Humphrey Sr, brothers Dennis Thomas, Billie Ray Humphrey, and sisters Sharon Humphrey, and Diana Humphrey. The departure of his wife and lifelong partner undoubtedly left an indelible mark on his heart.
He is survived by his devoted daughters, LaTricia Boyd, Tameka Boyd, LaTasha Boyd, Martha Humphrey, and Anntoinett Humphrey, as well as his sons Willie Humphrey III, Andre Reed, and Toriano Reed. Willie's memory will also be cherished by his brothers James Sanders, Robert Humphrey, Charles Thomas, O.T. Thomas, Dale Thomas, Calvin Thomas, Darrell Washington, and Jerry Washington, along with his sisters Lillie Mae Humphrey, Vanessa Washington, Rhonda Washington and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
As we bid farewell to Willie Humphrey Jr., let us remember him for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the joy he brought into the lives of those he touched. May his spirit find peace in the arms of eternity, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
