Willie Lee McClendon

With heavy hearts, we come together to celebrate the lives of Qunnie McClendon "Coot" and Willie McClendon "Dynamite", two beloved brothers who touched the lives of so many. Though their journeys have come to an end, their love, laughter, and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
Qunnie McClendon was born on May 12, 1953, and Willie McClendon followed on April 21, 1959, both born to their loving parents, Leo and Thelma McClendon. They were raised in Duval County and shared an unbreakable bond as brothers. Their presence brought joy and warmth to everyone around them, and they were deeply loved by their family and friends.
They were preceded in death by their parents, Leo and Thelma McClendon, but their memory will live on through the family and friends they cherished.
Qunnie leaves behind his precious children, Shameka Walker (Torrence), Tumeca Givens (Richard), Betty McMillan (Donald), Corey Ellis, and Benjamin Gadson. He was also a proud grandfather to sixteen grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one.
Willie and Qunnie are survived by their devoted siblings, Dorothy McKnight (Avery), Robyn Coyner (Keith), Rosa McBurrions (Kalvin), December Baker, Jacquelyn McClendon, Melissa Sandfords, and Vernon McClendon.
Together, they were cherished uncles to six nieces and five nephews and shared a special bond with a host of cousins and extended family.
Qunnie shared a special companionship with Pam, while Willie was blessed with the love of Mable McQueen.
Though they are no longer with us in body, their spirits will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them. May we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love they left behind.
Rest peacefully, Coot and Dynamite. You will always be remembered.
