Willie Carlander McCree, beloved father, and grandfather, passed away on December 01, 2024, in his hometown of Camden, Arkansas. Willie was born on April 18, 1943, to proud parents Aaron McCree and Rosy Mae Forte.
Willie led a full and joyful life, always with a smile on his face and a joke at the ready. He attended Lafayette High School. He started his work career at the age of 12 working for Judge Alfred Smith. He worked for Ouachita County Shop for 20 years and was a supervisor when he retired in 2015. Willie was also a notary public.
He created and owned his own Lighting Trucking and Lighting Playhouse business. Willie campaign for political candidates, including Bill Clinton, in order to raise money. Willie constructed a mobile train for the kids at Victory Church.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron McCree, Sr., and Rosy Mae Forte, brothers, Ardia McCree, Aaron C. McCree, Jr., and Lee Willie Forte and one sister Bertha Rigsby.
Willie is survived by his partner, Pearlie Livingston of Camden, Arkansas., his daughter Amanda Frazier Hamilton of Los Angeles, California, one very special granddaughter Jamayah Hamilton and special great granddaughter Ava Hamilton of Little Rock, Arkansas, sister, Vella Minor of Camden, Arkansas; a caregiver, Shamiya Taylor. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all who know him, but his memory will live on in the laughter and love he brought to those around him. Rest in peace, Willie, we will always cherish the memories we shared with you.
