Sharron Diane Thrower-Ekpe

Sharron Diane Thrower-Ekpe 68, born on March 20, 1957, transitioned peacefully at home, to her heavenly home, on October 2, 2025, in Camden, Arkansas. Sharron was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Timothy Thrower, Sr., and Mary Katherine Hegler-Thrower, brothers; Charles M. Benford, Elijah Timothy Thrower, Jr. "Butch", James Sterling Thrower, sister; Jacqueline A. Thrower, and nephew; D'Tarius Thrower-Williams.

Sharron gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. She attended David H. Hickman High School and was in the class of 1974. She began her career at the Columbia Regional Hospital, Columbia Missouri, served 25 years at the Pasadena library in Pasadena, Texas, and lastly, 20 years at the Camden Fire Department in Camden, Arkansas, where she was employed there until the day of her death.

Sharron enjoyed community service work, fashion design, and was an avid reader. She served on boards such as Keep Camden Beautiful, and other boards, and she attended Koinonia of Grace Church in Camden, Arkansas.

Sharron leaves to mourn her daughter Chioma "Stephanie" Hunter (Anthony) grandson Camron, and great-grandson Bryson (Houston TX,) sister, Debra E. Thrower, brothers, Michael A. Thrower and Stephen E. Thrower (Columbia, MO), and nephews; Anthony and Stephen, and nieces; LaKayla, Dena, Chioma, Ashley, Sha'Day, and Honesty, as well as a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On behalf of the family, we thank you for your positive thoughts and fervent prayers. Special thanks to the staff at the Camden Fire Department, Camden, Arkansas. We acknowledge Sharron's group of village supporters. The Lord Jesus will see us through our time of bereavement.
