Willie Marque McCree, Jr., age 65 affectionately known as "Willie Jr.," transitioned on Wednesday August 20, 2025, at his home in Lake Village, AR. He was born on July 12,1960, in Lake Village and was the youngest of five children of the late Willie and Myrtle McCree. Willie was lovingly raised by his devoted aunt, the late Bobbie Ann Smith.

At an early age Willie accepted Christ at Second Baptist Church, in Lake Village, under the leadership of the late Rev. J. F. Redmon, Sr. He graduated from Lakeside High school in 1978 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1982. While there he proudly completed ROTC training and became a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Tau Sigma Chapter, where he was affectionately called "Snoozy Que."

Willie was commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army in 1982 and served honorably until 1993, earning multiple medals and distinctions, with tours across the United States and Europe. He later continued his service as a Store Manager for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Virgina, New York, and Puerto Rico.

Mr. McCree was known for his free spirit, his infectious smile, and his love for laughter, singing, and dancing. He truly was the life of the party and will always be remembered for his kind heart and joyful presence.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Jermahn McCree (Courtney) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jarrod Black (Johneice) Dermott, AR; his brother Jimmy McCree of Oak Grove, LA; three sisters, Linda McCree-Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR, Sheila McCree-Spencer (Floyd) of Little Rock, AR, and Sandra McCree-Williams Lake Village, AR; six beloved grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
