Elder Willie Andrew Moss, Sr., beloved preacher, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, who
departed this earthly life on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 73. He was surrounded by his loving family at his home in Mount Vernon.
He received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1982, he accepted the call from God to preach the word of God in 1984. Elder Moss attended Citronelle high School and was a graduate of the Class of 1972. A business owner, he loved God and enjoyed going to church. He stood on the word of God, even after his sickness his faith in God never wavered. Elder Moss enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved helping his wife in their yard, cutting the lawn, raking the leaves. He was willing to assist her in any way his strength allowed him to do. He
enjoyed riding around town on his Mobility scooter. He loved his "Chewy Caramel Werther's Original", Strawberry Boost and his nightly snack cheese toast. He really enjoyed his vacation a gift from his daughter, a trip to Germany, Spain and Switzerland!
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Adams; grandson, Kenden Moss Figures; and his sister, Regina Scott.
Elder Moss leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years, Missionary Annie Ruth Moss; five devoted children, three daughters: LaTwanya (Phil) Grays, Sr. of Carrollton, GA, Tessa (Fletcher) Beaman, II of Stuttgart, Germany, Terica (Adrian) Johnson of Huntsville, AL; two sons: Willie Moss, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, AL and Roderick (Sonja) Moss of Mobile, AL; one sister, Veronica (Bishop Richard) Jordan of Mt. Vernon, AL; one aunt, Minnie Creagh of Mt. Vernon, AL; three sisters-nlaw: one devoted, Brenda (Micheal) Beard and Rose (Edward) Files both of Mobile, AL and Glenda (Clyde) Williams of Baton Rouge, LA; seven brothers-in-law: one devoted, Larry Williams of Mt. Vernon, AL, Arnez Scott of Mobile, AL, Charles Williams of Baton Rouge, LA, Oliver Williams of Saraland, AL, John B. Mobley of Lower Peach Tree, AL and Jackie (Jennifer) Williams of Mt. Vernon, AL; twelve grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; one devoted neighbor, Johnny Huff of Mt. Vernon, AL; and a host cousins, other relatives and friends.
