On Tuesday May 7, 2024, at 11:36 am, God in his infinite wisdom, called to eternal rest, our beloved Sister Willie Mae Randerson (Granny), at the tender age of 92. She was born on August 26,1931, in Escambia County, Florida. She was the daughter of Will and Ella Thomas. Her years of education were achieved at Washington High School in Escambia County. At an early age, Sister Randerson joined Friendship Primitive Baptist Church and was a faithful and active member.
Sister Randerson was a loving and dedicated member of the community. She touched the lives of so many in her community and church. She was known for her selfless acts of kindness and unwavering dedication to helping others and was honored as volunteer of the year in 1994. She will be remembered for her generosity and compassion, which impacted the lives of countless individuals. During her lifetime, Sister Randerson was a community activist and President of the Ebonwood neighborhood watch, tirelessly advocating for positive change and working to uplift those in need. She also served as the President of the Greater Pensacola Community Organization, where she worked to improve the lives of others. In addition, she served as the Clerk of the Church, President of the Usher board, President of the Ushers Congress, Member of the International Benevolent Society, and Florida State's Primitive Baptist Convention President of women for 4 years. Sister Randerson leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a blessing and a joyful light to everyone she met and was tenderly known to all as "Granny".
She was preceded in death by her loving husband A.C Randerson. They were happily married for 46 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was also preceded in death in by her children 1st SGT Alfred Ceasar Randerson (Mildred) Jerome Randerson and Deborah Mills (Ike) her grandson Philip Milroe and her siblings, Rose, Dave, Chuck, and Byrd Thomas.
Surviving to cherish her beautiful life and legacy forever is her son, Peter Randerson, her grandchildren, Andre' Bivins (Tuesday) Alfred Randerson Aka Cal (Shameka) and Lameika Brown. Her great grandchildren, Keandre' Randerson, Philesity Milroe, Andetrius Bivins, Andre' Bivins Jr, Philip Bivins, Jordan Randerson, Cha'Dreya Bivins, Auhndrea Bivins, and Deborah Bivins. Her great-great grandchildren, Ja'layah Bivins, Amir Bivins, Ke'moni Johnson, Kaceyon Johnson, Ramsey Randerson, Marcellus Randerson, and Honey Bivins. She is also survived by her niece, Cynthia Ann Johnson, great nephew John Lee Johnson III, great niece Kawanna Wright and host of loving nieces and nephews, and cousins.
