Willie Melvin session was born on November 29, 1958 on Section 14 on the Aqua Caliente Indian Reservation, Palm Springs, California to Curlen Sr. and Virgrea Session.

Melvin accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church under the late Pastor Jeff Rollins. He received his education in the Palm Springs Unified School District.

Later in life he moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he attended St. Paul Methodist Church. While there he enrolled at Del Mar college studying Culinary Arts and received his diploma as a cook and a baker. Melvin then became a cook and dietician for 35 years at The State School of Texas, where he later retired.

Melvin was quite the jokester, he loved to make others laugh, but don't make him angry because he wouldn't hesitate to curse you out. In his leisure time you could always find him fishing; going out to eat with family and friends with spaghetti being one of his favorite dishes.

Our big brother Penny Sess leaves to cherish his memory his brothers: Tracy (Cynthia) Session, William Sr. (Michelle) Thigpen of Palm Springs, CA ; his baby sister Wilma (Terry) Glover of Banning, CA; 3 aunts, Mary Lucas Spencer of Long Beach, CA; Dorothy Johnson of Banning, CA and Bonnie Harris of San Jose, CA. He also leaves 20 nephews and nieces, 47 great nieces and nephews, and 19 great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Curlen Sr. and Virgrea Session; 3 brothers Curlen Jr., Homa Sr. and Bruce Session. Grandparents Mose and Orpha Clinton and Homa and Wilma Session. He leaves a host of family, relatives, and friends.

Melvin will be truly missed by all.
