Sherman Session peacefully transitioned on November 24, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on September 18, 1950, in Reklaw, Texas, to Thurman and Hassie Mallard Session.

Sherman graduated as Salutatorian at Crandall High School, class of 1969. He went on to attend college for a year. A man with a strong work ethic and proven devotion, Sherman was employed for over 30 years at Beneficial Finance, followed by 10 years at Reliable (Kemper) Insurance, retiring from both.

Sherman met and married Darleatha Wade on October 30, 1972. To their union, three children were born. He accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, later uniting with Victory Baptist Church in Garland. In 2010, he united with North Garland Baptist Fellowship, where he remained a faithful steward until his death.

Sherman enjoyed playing basketball, football, and fishing. He earned Best Male Athlete at Crandall High School. He then turned to coaching Little League baseball, winning the District Championship for under-10.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and an infant son.

Those left to cherish lasting memories include his wife, Darleatha; his son, Kyron (Patricia) of Mansfield, Texas; his two daughters, Amanda of Wylie, Texas and Tereasa of Missouri City, Texas; his nephew who held a special place in his heart, David (Schrunda) Williams of Duncanville, Texas; his four sisters: Mary (Sammie) Robinson of Terrell, Texas, Lillie (Eugene) Offord of Crandall, Texas, Margie (Ray) Brittan of Santa Clara, California, and Ella Price of Fort Worth, Texas; his two brothers, David (Kathleen) Session of Talty, Texas and Billy Ray Henderson of Dallas, Texas; four special sisters: Marietta (Jerry) Thomas of Shreveport, Louisiana, Ester Williams of Brownwood, Texas, and Brenda George and Yolanda Allen of Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who enjoyed his presence and will miss him dearly.
