Funeral service for SSG (Retired) Willie D. Stallworth will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with William Terry, West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses,
Lawton, Oklahoma officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born January 3, 1944, in Columbia Mississippi to Willie "Benny Lee" Stallworth and Alma Battles Stallworth. Willie Donald grew up in the community of Three Rivers, Mississippi. He attended elementary school in the Three Rivers Community. He attended Magnolia High School in Moss Point Mississippi and graduated May1962.
May 1962, soon after graduating from high school Willie Donald joined the U.S. Army in Jackson, Mississippi. After Basic Military Training in Fort Jackson SC and AIT training in Fort Benning GA., he was assigned duty in Germany as a 13B30, Cannon Crewman, Furth Barracks, Nurenberg; he also attended the NCO Academy during this assignment.
After returning stateside in 1965, he was assigned to the Army Engineer School to attend the Engineer Equipment RPM Course at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. While assigned at Fort Belvoir he met Rose Esther Davis, and they began a courtship. On July 2, 1966, they were joined together in the holy state of marriage in the chapel at Fort Belvoir, VA.
After serving as an Engineer Equipment RPM at Fort Bragg, he was reassigned to his primary Military Occupational Specialty. In 1967 his unit went to duty in the Republic of Vietnam. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.
After returning to Fort Bragg he attended Drill Sergeant School, Fort Jackson SC. In 1970 he was assigned to Pershing MSL School, Fort Sill, OK. From July 1971 to March 1974, he served with HHB 56th FA BDE Hardt Kaserne Schwabisch Gmund Germany.
Sergeant Stallworth and his family returned to Fort Bragg in 1974. January 1978 he was assigned to duty in Germany with the Pershing MSL unit. Later during this tour he was assigned to the 3rd ID Academy in Kitsingen, Germany.
In January 1981 Sergeant Stallworth and his family arrived at Fort Sill, Oklahoma assigned to HHB Staff and Fac Bg. Awards he received during his service: National Defense Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal Sixth Award, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Two Overseas Service Bars, Vietnam Service Medal with Three Service Stars, Overseas Service Ribbon Second Award, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon-3. After devoting 20 years of service in the US Army Sergeant Stallworth retired June 30, 1982.
Willie Stallworth had a natural skill for woodwork. After retiring from the army, he began restoring and refinishing furniture. He became a well-known furniture restorer in Lawton and provided a well-sought-after service in Lawton and surrounding areas. During this time, he also attended Cameron University pursuing a BS in applied Technology.
In 1990 he began employment with the Lawton Public Schools. He worked at Eisenhower Jr. High, Cleveland Elementary and several support areas for the schools.
In 2004 Willie Joined the Jehovah Witness. He was faithful and generous in serving in the congregation. He was well thought of by his fellow sisters and brothers.
Willie always supported his family with what they needed. He had a giving heart. He loved helping others. Fishing was his hobby he loved to fish and share his catch with anyone who said they like fish. He was very particular he always cleaned his catch soon as he returned from fishing. He would find the remote lakes on the Fort Sill Ranges where he thought no one else had fished.
He is survived by his wife, Rose E. Stallworth of 59 + years, son, Christopher A. Stallworth, daughters, Christina D., Christa M. and Christanna R. Stallworth, grandchildren, Adrian C. Stallworth, Dr. Chrystal R. Stallworth Saliba, and Andrianna Stallworth, great grandson, Forrest Smith, sister, Carolyn Lewis,
Moss Point, Mississippi, nieces, Tyndra Hines, Douglasville, Georgia. Elaine Wells, Gautier, Mississippi and Barbara De Flanders,
Moss Point, Mississippi, nephews, Terrell K. Hurd,
Moss Point, Mississippi, Kelvin Lewis,
Moss Point, Mississippi and Joe Lewis, Pascagoula, Mississippi, two nieces and one nephew in Angie, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie "Benny Lee" Stallworth and Alma Battle Stallworth, sisters, Lois Jefferson and Maggie Wells, uncles, Joe Stallworth, Eddie Lee Stallworth and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
