I offer my sincere heartfelt condolences to the family of Willie James Walker, affectionately known as Khrushchev and Shot. Khrushchev got his nickname from his friend and our classmate Devard "Butch" Burney when we were in elementary school. Butch insisted the size and shape of his head was like that of Russian Premier Nikita Khrushchev. I spoke to Kru on Wednesday before his death and encouraged him to stay on his diet. Prior to that we would speak daily.
I am proud to call Khrushchev friend and my life is enriched for having known him. He found God and has ensured he will see his mother, sister Jo Ann, Genie Boy, Tyrone (Tiny), Phil Hill, Goldie, Nolds, Bruce, Wayne and the others who preceded him in death. He, the Childs of Friendship and The Train Robbers are in heaven Jammin for Jesus.
