Willie T. Willis, 79, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend peacefully departed this life on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo MS. Born on April 17, 1945, in Monroe County, MS, Willie was a devoted family man whose love and support were felt by all who knew him.
He is by his beloved wife, Shirley Williams-Willis, and their children: sons Willie T. Willis, Jr. and Jesse Payne; and daughters Lori Willis and Tawania Baskin. Willie also left behind his cherished siblings, brothers James David Willis and Bobby Willis, and sisters Lola Blake and Joyce Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Willis, and mother, Ruby Mae Priest. Willie's legacy lives on through his family, who will honor his memory and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.
The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MS, on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held the following day, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, also in Aberdeen, MS.
Willie T. Willis will be deeply missed by his family and friends, each remembering him for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength. May he rest in peace.
