Springfield GA – Willis Pearl Buhls, 88, of Southampton County, Virginia passed away September 16, 2024 at Effingham Care Center.
Born July 10,1936 in Franklin, VA she worked for the Virginia Department of Forestry at the Garland Gray Forestry Center in Courtland for 28 years. Willis was a member of Millfield Baptist Church in Wakefield, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Beatrice Womble of Sedley VA; brothers, Willie Womble of Sedley, VA, Emment Womble of Sedley VA and Charles Womble of Macon GA; husband, Warren Smith Buhls Sr. (W.S.) of whom she was married to for 50 years; her son, Warren Smith Buhls Jr. (Peter) of New Hope N.C.; and daughter, Patricia Butabaugh of Clymer, PA.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Beale (Ronnie), Hardeeville, SC; sons, Bobby Buhls (Donna) of Franklin, Va, and Donnie Buhls of Clymer, PA; and 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be planned later.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or your local humane society.
