WILLIS STUTZMAN, 79 of Arthur, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his home in Arthur, IL.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Penn Station, 122 East Progress in Arthur, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.
Willis was born on May 26, 1946, in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Levi and Lydia (Yoder) Stutzman and married Betty White on April 10, 1971, in Bement, IL. She passed away on August 7, 2015.
A true farmer at heart, Willis found joy in the simple rhythms of daily chores and the satisfaction of honest labor. His inherent passion in life, farming, allowed him to find purpose, pouring his heart into cultivating the land while providing for his family. His resilience and strong work ethic continued throughout his tenure at MasterBrand, where his coworkers found that underneath his rough and rugged exterior lay a thoughtful and deliberate man of few words. Willis’s tolerant, non-judgmental nature brought a sense of comfort to those who had the privilege of knowing him personally. No matter how hard we tried to convince him that his presence was welcomed and his legacy of “being a rock” for his loved ones was admired, his greatest concern in life was that he would be a burden to others. This moral character is an invaluable legacy passed down to his children and grandchildren through the values of perseverance, responsibility, and above all, devotion to family.
Willis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Stutzman, whose memory he cherished deeply. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Lydia Stutzman, and his sister Anna Jenzen (Milton) of Newport News, VA.
Willis is survived by his two daughters, Jenny Massoni (David) of Antioch, IL, and Amy Malin (Jeremy) of Arthur, IL; three grandchildren, Miah, Robyn, and Ryan; two brothers, Paul Stutzman (Carol) of Arthur, IL, and Nelson Stutzman (Karen) of Conrath, Wisconsin; and three sisters, Vi Stutzman of Arthur, IL, Melon Rowe (Danny) of Louisville, KY, and Sarah Kauffman (Virgil) of Arthur, IL. Those who knew Willis will remember his quiet strength and the steady sense of comfort he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught and the love he shared.
