Obituary published on Legacy.com by Northern Peace Funeral Home Inc on Mar. 5, 2026.
Willow Louise Howard, of the Bear Clan, age 42, of Remer, MN began her spiritual journey on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Duluth, MN. She was born on December 26, 1983, the daughter of Clifford Howard, Jr. and Myrna Whitebird.

Willow was a very funny outgoing person who made her children top priority in her life and was involved in everything they did. She enjoyed going for walks, listening to her music, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed dealing Blackjack at her prior job working at the casino. Willow was a very engaged mom who enjoyed watching all her children in their sport activities, especially basketball. She also liked shopping for clothes and was proud of the outfits she picked out. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

The family that Willow joins again are her dad, Clifford; brother, Jason Swan; grandparents on both sides, Edmund Whitebird, Leota White, Clifford and Shirley Howard; numerous aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Myrna of Boy River; sons, Michael Reyes, Jr. and Gabriel Reyes both of Cass Lake; daughters, Mya Reyes and Majesty Reyes both of Cass Lake; sisters, Kate Whitebird of Bemidji, Elise Howard of Boy River, and Amelia (Donald) Howard of Battle Point; father of her children, Michael Reyes, Sr.; special aunt, Vikki Howard of Bemidji; aunts, Mary Howard of Lengby, and Lorie Howard of Bemidji; uncle, Loren Howard of Bemidji, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A wake for Willow will begin at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, March 6, all held at the Battle Point Community Center in Sugar Point, MN. Michael Needham will be the spiritual advisor.
