Mrs. Constance "Connie" Cantrell-Howard, age 72 of Cave Spring, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Cave Spring Manor. She was born April 2, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late David Rapes and the late Virginia Geraldine Gazaway Rapes.
She was a dedicated manager for AT&T for 22 years and was of the Baptist faith. Connie enjoyed listening to Elvis music, tending to her garden and going to the mountains. Shopping trips were always a joy for her, and her favorite pastimes were crafting and cooking delicious meals.
She is survived by her husband, James Ronald Howard; two sons, James Troy Cantrell and Casey Cantrell; a daughter, Melissa Small; two brothers, Hubert Rapes and Paul Rapes; seven grandchildren, Macy Dameron, Madison Wood, Anna Cantrell, James Cantrell, II, Casey Grace Cantrell, Abigail Cantrell and Casey Cantrell, Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Howard will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Georgia National Cemetery of Canton, GA.
