Wilma passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Wilma was born in Alberta Canada and later moved to Utah with her family where she obtained her dual citizenship and met the love of her life, Marvin William Bate. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 22, 1953, and went on to have 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents David Lendrum Morrow and Alta Drollinger Morrow, her husband Marvin William Bate, her three brothers David Lendrum Morrow, Mel Morrow, and Wes Morrow.
She is survived by her twin sister Hilma Morrow Thirkill, children Randy William Bate, Ricky Walter Bate (Peri), Cindy Roberts (Gordon), David Gordon Bate (Maisabel), her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She will forever be missed and never forgotten.
Services will be held on Monday August 4, 2025, as noted below.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at Wheatland Park Ward (3120 West 4700 South, West Valley City). The viewing will be from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, and the funeral service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Redwood Memorial Estates (6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville) from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm
After services the LDS church will be providing lunch for anyone wishing to attend and spend more time with the family. Please meet back at the Wheatland Park ward close to 1:00 pm.
