Mrs. Crawford passed away peacefully at Rowan Memorial Hospital September 22, 2025 at the age of 87. She was born in Elkin, N.C. to Sherman Asby and Stella LaVella Isaac Cheek on January 9, 1938.
Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Kay Cheek Hurt and Greta Cheek Cockerham, her first husband William L. Haynes, 4 brothers-in-law, Robert Eugene Crawford, Wallace Ray Crawford, Walter Blaine, Dean Malone as well a great-grandchild, Caleb Lineberry Wright.
She is survived by her 2nd husband, Clyde Crawford, 2 sons, Jeffrey Brigg Haynes and Clyde (Cheryl) Edward Crawford, 1 daughter, Kamia Renae Haynes Barker. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Hazel Malone; brother-in-law, Lee Crawford as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Crawford loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling the world and most all of the United States.
